Waterdown

Serving Waterdown Since 1946

Service area

Our second shop is on Brock Road, this is home turf

Most electricians serve Waterdown from Hamilton or Burlington. Our Brock Road shop is right here, which means shorter response times and crews who are usually already working somewhere in the area.
The old core around Dundas Street, Mill Street and Smokey Hollow is nineteenth-century and early twentieth-century stock, and it comes with everything that implies: knob-and-tube, ungrounded circuits, 60-amp services and additions wired by whoever was available at the time. Waterdown South, Trend Village and the newer builds off Parkside and Centre Road bring the opposite problem — modern houses with panels that were sized to the minimum, now being asked to carry an EV charger, a hot tub and a finished basement.

Head out toward Millgrove, Carlisle and the escarpment edge and you are on rural overhead feeds where outages run long, which is why standby generators are a steady part of our Waterdown work. Everything is completed to the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, with ESA notification filed and the inspection booked by us. Emergency? Call 905-634-5577, 24 hours a day.

FAQ

Common Questions

My breaker keeps tripping. Can I just keep resetting it?

A breaker trips because something on that circuit is drawing more current than it should, or because there is a fault. Resetting it repeatedly does not address the cause and is not safe as a long-term habit — have the circuit looked at.

It depends entirely on the fault. Some are found in minutes; an intermittent problem that only appears in certain conditions takes longer. We will tell you what we are seeing as we go.
