COMMERCIAL LED RETROFITS & UPGRADES

Lower bills, and a building that's actually easier to work in.

Save on Energy Instant rebate program

Most retrofits get sold on the hydro bill alone. That’s the easy part to model — but the change people notice first is that the space stops looking tired. Even light levels, no hum, no flickering tube at the back of the room, and colour that doesn’t make your floor look grey.
We handle the full retrofit: counting and assessing what’s there, modelling what a change actually saves, specifying fixtures or retrofit kits, adding occupancy and daylight controls where they pay for themselves, and disposing of the old lamps and ballasts properly.
We’ve been working in buildings across this region since 1946, so we quote what the building needs rather than a per-fixture number off a spreadsheet. Every job is ESA-licensed, documented and installed by Red Seal certified crews.

What we cover

Audit, specify, install, document.

The whole retrofit under one contractor — including the paperwork.

Assessment

Lighting Audit & Payback Modelling

A fixture count, current draw and run-hour review, turned into a realistic estimate of what the retrofit saves and how long it takes to pay back.

Fixtures

Fixture-for-Fixture Replacement

Full fixture swaps where housings are past their life or the layout needs to change — troffers, strips, high bays, wall packs and pot lights.

Kits

Retrofit Kits & Driver Conversions

Where the housing is sound, we convert it — LED boards, drivers and ballast bypass — for a lower cost per point and less ceiling disruption.

Controls

Occupancy & Daylight Controls

Sensors, dimming and daylight harvesting on the zones that sit lit and empty — storage, washrooms, boardrooms, perimeter offices.

Incentives

Incentive Documentation

Where fixtures qualify under current provincial energy incentive programs, we supply the fixture data and installation records the application needs.

Compliance

Emergency & Exit Brought Current

A retrofit is the natural moment to bring exit signage and emergency lighting up to code, while the ladders are already in the building.
Fixture & controls work

Why facility managers call us

Numbers that hold up after installation.

A retrofit is easy to oversell. We’d rather quote something the building actually delivers on.

/ 01

Honest payback

We model against your run hours and your rate, not a best-case assumption. If a zone doesn’t pay back, we’ll tell you to leave it.

/ 02

Light levels checked, not guessed

We measure what’s there and design to a target level, so you don’t end up with a space that’s cheaper to run and worse to work in.

/ 03

Old lamps handled properly

Fluorescent lamps contain mercury and ballasts have their own disposal requirements. Both leave with us, handled through licensed disposal.

/ 04

Phased around your hours

Evenings, weekends, floor by floor or aisle by aisle — whatever keeps trading hours and production clear.

How we work

From fixture count to final invoice.

No surprises. Clear scope, clear pricing, clean handover.
01

Site Audit

We count and identify every fixture, note run hours and controls, and check ceiling access and circuiting.
02

Proposal & Payback

An itemized quote with the fixture schedule, estimated savings, payback period and any incentive that applies.
03

Phased Install

Crews work in agreed zones with site protection down, so occupied areas stay usable throughout.
04

Verify & Hand Over

Levels checked, controls commissioned, old material removed, and fixture documentation handed over for warranty and incentive claims.

FAQ

Common Questions

My breaker keeps tripping. Can I just keep resetting it?

A breaker trips because something on that circuit is drawing more current than it should, or because there is a fault. Resetting it repeatedly does not address the cause and is not safe as a long-term habit — have the circuit looked at.

It depends entirely on the fault. Some are found in minutes; an intermittent problem that only appears in certain conditions takes longer. We will tell you what we are seeing as we go.
